About who needs care: Diabetes, high blood pressure, use of laxatives (digestive needs). 93 yo, female, unsteady walking, speaks and reads Cantonese. Enjoys TV, cards. Maintains a lot of independence and likes to do most things herself, but needs supervision. She has a fractured rib and needs monitoring. About the care needs: Ideally, knowledge of Chinese or Chinese culture (although knowledge of translate is fine) and knowledge of surrounding area. General health care knowledge would be greatly helpful as well. Patient (as she is hard of hearing and can be stubborn), proactive in monitoring her - she is used to being independent and will move around without warning. She can cook, but she needs supervision and assistance. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
