I'm looking for hands-on care for my aunt (81) who will be in Rehab in Commack, NY from mid-december for 3 months. She is recovering from a stroke (impacting mobility not cognition or speech) and also broken hip. She has a lively mind (she is a writer and loves politics!) and with only one family member nearby (in Commack) we want to make sure she has extra support and companionship. She is not yet at Gurwin so we are still figuring out schedule and needs. At this point we are flexible. We definitely will need support during during Christmas holiday period.
