Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Canandaigua

About who needs care: She had polio in childhood as well as severe scoliosis that has been corrected. She has some short term memory issues (particularly pertaining to technology), so she needs occasional reminders. She is in an electric wheel chair, and is able to make her transfers herself, though with occasional difficulty. She does ask for help pulling up her pants sometimes as it can just take her a while to do it alone. She has had one shoulder replacement within the last year and is still building strength with PT. She needs occasional reminders to do her PT, help brushing her cat, cleaning her dogs ears, walking her dog, basic household maintenance tasks, to be driven to occasional appointments, taken shopping etc. She likes a clean and orderly house, her animals, reading, and spending time with her family. My daughter currently spends two days a week with her, while I have one dedicated day, in addition to frequent trips out throughout the week for appointments etch. My daughter has been trying to find more enrichment actives for her like: puzzles, squeeze toys, poem magnets etc. Any ideas for enrichment are welcome! My daughter has pushing me to bring on more help, so we are looking to have someone 4-5 days a week for 2-3 hours a day. We have found that is usually a sufficient amount of time to get the majority of her small tasks done. About the care needs: We are looking for someone who is kind and patient, detail oriented and an eye for order. Keeping a clean house is one of her top priorities, and one of our top priorities is helping maintain her physical and mental health. She needs someone who is polite, yet firm getting her to do her pt, drink water, do her mental exercises etc. That being said, she does not like being told what to do, so we need someone who can kindly remind her of these things. An interest in enrichment is a huge plus! She is a very sweet lady who just needs a little day to day help Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
