About the job
About who needs care: I have chronic back pain from a tumor inside my spinal cord which left me with a drop foot and deficits in both my lower legs. Right now Im in a rehab facility recovering from a fractured hip doing physical therapy to try and strengthen my legs. I have neurogenic bladder also and I have to use a straight catheter which I do myself. I have problems with my balance, which is why I fell. I dont have much confidence even using the rolator. Blood pressure is up and down and I stay in various degrees of pain. About the care needs: The best part of this is I have someone who is a Certified Nursing Assistant who is actually my primary aide while Im here at the nursing home/ rehab. We clicked from the start and Im very comfortable and grateful for her. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
