About who needs care: I am a full-time wheelchair user, a bilateral lower extremity above-knee amputee. I am employed, but need help with home maintenance and setting up my apartment. Come into the apartment and help me out with set up (moving books, light furniture around), keeping the kitchen and bathroom clean, and straightening up the place. Maybe help out with shopping and keeping the place stocked up. I do my own cooking, self-care, and transfers. About the care needs: A good fit would be someone friendly, conversational, who doesn't mind being creative and willing to take a lead in organizing an apartment, a sense of humor a plus. No specific skills, but a good sense of how to make an apartment more like a home. No specific hobbies or interests required, but an interest in science and education would be nice. Services needed include: errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
