Live-in Home Care Needed For My Mother In Sparks

About who needs care: Recent back fusion patient. Has mobility issues. Can transfer from bed to chair, she is a moderate assist due to the brace she is in. She is standing up well with a walker (5-15% assist). Coordination like pivoting and walking is limited, she is currently walking only 15-20 feet with light assist. PT has stated she is a 1 person assist for actions to commode or toilet however she needs assistance to clean herself. She cannot stand for lengthy periods of time. She loves to play cards, games on phone, watch movies/TV. Enjoys company and has regular visitors. After mom wakes up, help her get ready, prepare breakfast and ensure her pills are taken. She is able to eat independently. She is able to brush her teeth but needs assistance with where to spit as she cannot see due to lack of mobility in the brace. While she is in the brace, she cannot shower and will need sponge baths. This will change to the walk in shower once the brace is no longer needed. She needs assistance to get dressed and have her brace put over her clothes. She has slip on shoes and can usually put them on but sometimes needs help as she cannot see her feet in the brace. Set her set-up for the day. Care would be limited between preparation of lunch and dinner. Just visits to the restroom. Would like her to follow some basic PT guidelines with the caretaker. She will have visits from PT. Get her ready for bed, brush teeth, wash face, change into bed clothes, take pills etc. Basic household chores, cooking, dishes in the dishwasher, light cleaning, plant watering, laundry. Shopping is close by and we can offer assistance as needed. About the care needs: Mom is very patient. Outgoing, happy, empathetic, drama free. The caretaker needs to be a seasoned caretaker familiar with mobility issues due to back injuries and the assistance needed for safe transfers. We will train on how to properly don the brace. Someone who likes to play cards, like Gin would be a plus. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
