About who needs care: Mild cognitive impairment; has been the main caregiver for my mother. Moved them here when he was diagnosed because my mother is unable to care for him/others. About the care needs: Bob is a very quiet person; he depends on my mothers constant demands to keep busy but is becoming limited in his ability to do so. He is tasked by the Dr with fining new ways to challenge his brain like doing puzzles. He loves cooking but now needs supervision while he does so. Driving is limited to city streets accompanied. He was a biologist and loves nature, fly fishing and trains. He is also mostly deaf. A good caregiver for him will help him feel like he is still able to care for my mother while keeping his brain challenged and providing transportation to their many doctors appointments. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
