About who needs care: Patient with ALS and is essentially quadriplegic and requires feeding and bathing and depend changes About the care needs: This a very physical job taking care of her despite her electric wheelchair and lifts. She will require PEG tub feedings and bedpans for urine and stool. This involves turning a 200 pound person in bed to place the bedpan and remove it. Her memory is good, but she gets anxious when she feels short of breath that occurs daily morning and evening. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
