About who needs care: My very sweet, intelligent, fun loving and easy going mother has chronic health issues-rheumatoid arthritis and Diabetes 1. She can walk for brief periods of time, but is largely in a wheel-chair. She is an avid reader, likes watching/feeding the birds, and loves listening to music. She also enjoys watching television and movies. About the care needs: Someone who is present, compassionate and patient; a good companion-someone who will engage in conversation. Mom has a Diabetes pump and needs assistance changing equipment related to the pump. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
