Hello! My mother is 73 years old and was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in October 2022. She spends most of her time watching TV. She lives at home with her dog Cooper. Although he's not trained, he's very friendly. Mom needs companionship and assistance with dressing (sometimes), meal preparation for lunch, taking medication and vitamin supplements, and physical activity (e. g., going grocery shopping). She typically doesn't get out of bed until noon. Some light housekeeping and doing laundry are also required. Full disclosure: another caregiver tends to mom on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays; mom is fully incontinent and wears Depends, so bathing is required; Ring cameras are installed in the kitchen, living room, and entrance so my brother and I can redirect her; my brother and I live in Massachusetts and visit regularly.
