I'm looking for hands-on care for my father in his 80s. Your primary responsibility is to keep him physically active and walking up and down the hallways or to get fresh air in the nursing home he is at (at least 3 times a week). They say the key to a long life is moving, and I would like to keep him moving rather than lying down or sitting, but nursing homes are generally worried about fall risks, and there is a shortage of staff to accompany him as much as I would like. Once a week, we would also appreciate your help bathing/showering him because he needs to be seated. Currently, they use a washcloth to clean him up but he occasionally needs a real shower. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and vaccinated.
