Occasional Companion Caregiver

About the job

We are looking for a compassionate, easygoing caregiver to spend occasional time with our 21-year-old son in our home. This is not a traditional caregiving or babysitting role, it's truly about companionship and connection. Our son is a bright, verbal, funny, music-loving young adult who happens to have special needs. He's high functioning in some ways and limited in others. He does not require help with personal care, this role is social and supportive. We're looking for someone to spend time with him twice a month (flexible scheduling) for a few hours at a time. Someone who enjoy things like listening to music, watching a movie or TV together, or taking a ride to get something to eat or go to the store. While this position is occasional to start, there will likely be opportunities for additional hours.
