About the job
The patient: Looking for live-in home aide for my mother. She is a 69-year-old stroke survivor with cognitive and physical disability, frail, and high fall risk. We want her active but safe (i. e. accompany her on a walk, errands, dinner/lunch). She is funny and sweet, but has trouble speaking and remembering. About the care needs: Very PATIENT, softer spoken, mature. She likes to go out for a lot of the day so someone fairly active. Female. She is an immigrant from Hong Kong so it would be nice to have someone familiar with her culture (I. e. someone from the Philippines could be good). Services needed include: companionship, meals, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance. Help getting to appointments and going to lunch/dinner, etc. Don't need to drive or lift her.
