About who needs care: My grandmother is a vibrant, passionate lady with a great drive for social-ness. She has lived independently till now (she's 95) and wants to maintain as much independence as she can. However, due to growing mobility and cognition issues, she needs support moving safely around her house (literally just having someone there in case she falls), driving her to appointments, keeping her company, and some basic household chores. She'd love to find someone who she can hang out with socially to help with her mood. As she ages, we imagine she'll need more help with basic body-upkeep, like dressing and bathing. But as of now she doesn't need that. About the care needs: Someone who is social. Someone who recognizes that my grandmother is not a child and treats her like an adult (doesn't boss her around or patronize her -- she can't stand that!). Someone who is open to different kinds of help-tasks (driving, household, personal safety, etc.). Needs to have a valid driver's license. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
