He has dysphagia, right now urinary retention, likes classical music, reading (when he can focus), enjoys walks very much, Day would be breakfast, walk, lunch, nap, listening to music or watching a concert. If he can see friends would enjoy that. Needs his foods pureed and liquids thickened. Day can vary, i.e. going to the lake and sitting there for a while in the nice weather Talks to relative on the phone regularly. About the care needs: Best for a male aide who can help him shower and also catheterize when needed. He needs to be reminded and encouraged to eat. A love of nature helps and interest in travel. He is very interested in people's well-being, so an aide who cares about the less fortunate would be good. He is Catholic, but not dogmatic, more spiritual. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
