About who needs care: I have ALS. I use a power wheelchair and I communicate through an eye gaze speech generating computer. I have limited use of my body, but I don't let that stop me from living a full life. My mind is sharp and I have a sense of humor. About the care needs: Someone willing to learn. You will be trained on how to operate my wheelchair and use my feeding tube. Someone who is self motivated. There is always something that can be done around the house. Sense of humor and hard working. Willing to give me space to spend time with my husband and jump in when I need help. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
