About who needs care: Currently in rehab, physically limited (health issues include diabetes, arthritis, heart failure), but mentally sound. Smart, educated, kind woman of limited financial means will need assistance in the morning with possibly getting out of bed (some assistance) getting her meals (breakfast and prepare a lunch), minor household duties. She enjoys reading, sports watching and nature. She has a brother and sister-in-law nearby who will also be helping her. About the care needs: B. is a quiet person and would do better with someone who was not too boisterous or too talkative. Skills needed - enough strength to assist getting in and out of a wheelchair or bed. Be able to prepare a simple meal for breakfast and/or lunch. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance.
