My sister lives in a behavioral nursing care facility in Lincoln Park. She has a brain injury that makes it challenging for her to do things that require critical thinking or decision-making. She is physically able and does not need assistance with mobility, however she often needs prompting for remembering to use the bathroom or managing her hygiene. She is social and sweet, but she can often seen apathetic or unmotivated to participate in activities or do things on her own. I am hoping to find a companion who can meet with her a few times a week for a couple of hours each day and take her out of the care center for walks and activities. The companion will help her become more physically active and engage her in stimulating conversations to support her socialization. The hours for this position are flexible.
