Help needed for my 79 y. o. mother - seeking part-time hands-on care. Mom has been falling alarmingly regularly, has had several brain injuries in the past few years, and sometimes needs help focusing on the task at hand. Dad helps out, but he's also forgetting more and more, so I'm hoping to take some of the responsibility off of his frail shoulders. Most important quality is comfort around four not-small dogs. A sense of humor would be nice. Someone who won't take it personally when Mom says she doesn't need help, but who also knows how to tell when she's lying. Ideally, experience with managing and administering medication. Some light tidying up is involved. Assistance with bathing is a possibility. We're looking for some help preparing meals. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained.
