About who needs care: Rachel is a person with a traumatic brain injury who needs help to feed herself, take medications, use the toilet, and go on outings safely as she does not understand traffic safety. She is a sweet young woman who enjoys watching tv, going to the park for walks, and taking leisure car rides. Rachel takes medications for seizures twice a day and while her seizures are mostly controlled by meds, she does still have them and needs physical support during an episode. Rachel is full of joy and shares that joy with those around her through her laughs and affection. About the care needs: A caregiver for Rachel should be patient and playful. They must be comfortable helping her with toileting as well as using a g-tube for medication administration. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
