Companion Care Needed For My Mother In Bayonne

About who needs care: Recently diagnosed with moderate alzheimer's. SHe is still fine living on her own at this point. She's in good health otherwise. She mainly likes to watch television--movies and old tv shows, She looks though magazines and about 4 times a week she walks to a friends house about 2 blocks away. Ideally looking for someone who can come basically check in on her -maybe be there to receive the grocery order, throw out the old food, make sure she's eating and taking her meds and keep her company for a while-maybe do a load of laundry. ON ocassion take her to her doctors apppt. About the care needs: Ideally, someone out going and patient with a good sense of humor-and someone who is direct and not afraid to question my mother about how she is feeling, if she is eating or drinking enough water. As for specialized skills someone who understands' Alzheimer's and is able to notice behavioral or other changes that we may not notice so that we can adjust care as needed. Someone who is OK going for a walk with her, maybe even play a game. My mother loves animals --especially cats and dogs. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
