About who needs care: My dad has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and finds it difficult to engage in conversation. Sometimes he is uncertain about basics like showering. He is increasingly sedentary due to back pain. I am hoping he will find new interests now; he was always a very bright, social, active man - a natural leader and good at many things. He had especially loved bridge, chess, skiing, and tennis. About the care needs: Someone patient, encouraging and cheerful - preferably with empathy and experience interacting with dementia patients. My mom has been the primary caregiver and also takes care of the house etc. It's getting to be overwhelming. Times and services needed may vary; the goal is to make my mom's life easier.
