About who needs care: Recovering at home from recent hospitalization with pneumonia. Slow recovery. Still weak. Uses walker to walk. Family members sharing the time being with her 24/7... until she is well enough and strong enough to be on her own more. Before hospitalization has had daily help 4/hours/day; 7 days/week. Thinking we have reach the point where 24 hour care/companionship needed. No cooking required.. just maybe heating up an already prepared meal, giving her evening meds, assisting with getting her into her bedclothes, going to and from bathroom, showering once/week, currently does her own toileting (has a bidet) Wears depends at night (protection is on bed), but as she is not moving much right now... has been leaking onto the pads. Normally very verbal, and does very well for her age. No hobbies. Loves her family and especially little kids. Reads and keeps up with things on her iPad, and watches TV in the evening. Quiet environment... but does like the TV loud... as quite hard of hearing. Since hospitalization, however, has had no interest in TV or iPad. Very clean, nice environment, first floor condo and good security. About the care needs: *someone who is friendly, good personality, likes to talk (but not ALL the time); someone who would be content with just being present if she doesn't feel like talking; ok with a loud volume TV on for a few hours in the evenings; someone willing to do some chores around the house without talking the entire time *would be helpful if an LNA who knows how to safely assist people up and down from chairs/beds/and walk assist. *no special hobbies/interests needed. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
