About the job
About who needs care: I have muscular dystrophy and the weakness is progressing with age. I am very independent but need some extra help now. I recently became ventilator dependent with a Trache so my medical needs are more complex now. I love to cook and bake. I enjoy visits with friends one on one. I like to have alone time most of day aside from times I need help. About the care needs: A calm personality would be good. I don't like too much stimulation. I like people who can cook and clean well. I prefer women without children or grown children just so there are less chances for illnesses or cancellations. Mostly I want helpers who understand my disability and can communicate well with me about my needs. Services needed include: help with transfers to toilet and bed, bathing / dressing, and trache care/vent needs.
