About who needs care: Recently fractured his shin bone and is in rehab now. Upon discharge he will need assistance transferring to and from bed, toilet and wheelchair. He would like to work on regaining his physical strength and mobility to continue living independently. In the short term he needs to do stretches and physical therapy to recover from his injury. He will be using a wheelchair until the fracture heals enough to perform weight bearing active. Ideal day would be to get up by 8 a.m. and have breakfast. He does engraving and would like to work on his projects. He would need help with his evening meal and getting ready for bed. About the care needs: The caregiver needs to have a positive, motivational attitude so help him do his daily rehab work. Ideally they will have an understanding of elder care and physical rehabilitation so that they can assist with the needed exercises to help him work through the current situation.
