About who needs care: My mother needs someone to stay with her overnight, 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. She has early stage dementia. She sleeps well, just needs someone there in case she needs help during the night. She doesn't have any hobbies, but she did love to cook and sew when she was younger. She enjoys gospel music/gospel videos at bedtime. Her children are very involved with her care. About the care needs: Her ideal caregiver would have experience with dementia patients and basic healthcare needs. They would enjoy sitting with her, having quiet conversation, and listening to gospel music with her. She does enjoy some television shows such as Andy Griffith. The caregiver must have reliable transportation, be able to work 2 nights per week, at least one of which is a weekend night. Services needed include: companionship.
