About who needs care: I am a 70-year-old quadriplegic and have been for 49 years. My wife passed away two years ago. My son is helping me now. I have a nurse come in three days a week for wound care I have a wound On my bottom, I have a Foley catheter, I have a overhead lift on rail that will pick me up from bed to my chair. I weigh 171, with this wound I tried to stay in bed until about 11 or 12 noon, my son lives next-door and works from home usually he gets me up at an early lunch 11 oclock with this wound I tried to stay in bed until about 11 or 12 noon, my son lives next-door and works from home. Usually he gets me up at an 11 oclock, I need to give him a break on Saturday. About the care needs: Someone who has worked with quads, and have worked with people with catheters, and wound, when my nurse is not here, my son takes care of the wound, Someone fairly strong, there was one nurse she was semi retired. She had no problem getting me from bed to chair. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
