About who needs care: Prior to starting her day, she needs help getting up from bed. Sometimes, her back hurts, and she needs Bengay rub on her back. Make sure she has her glasses and her hearing aide. Then she starts her day with a cup of coffee and toast or snack. Then breakfast and depending on the day a shower. She needs help with meals, changing her adult diapers when going to the bathroom and a shower. She is alert, attentive, and an enjoyable person. She walks on her own but sometimes needs assistance with her balance. After she dressed and eats breakfast, she'll sit on her recliner to watch TV or read. She loves outings. About the care needs: The caregiver should be loving and caring. Very patient and not demanding. Definitely a woman. She should have proper training and experience working with elderly (preferably above 80s). She should know how to handle a medical situation and is in contact with family members. Having creativity to keep Ma active is a plus. Ma loves to paint (usually paint by numbers), and she loves outings, especially when she gets to ride in her wheelchair. The caregiver will have to handle the day to day duties like household tasks, personal care, companionship, and transportation. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
