About the job
Hello, We need an additional caregiver for our 74-year-old mom, who is diagnosed with dementia. She currently has 4 fantastic caregivers, but we need to fill the shift of Sundays from 9am-3:30pm, rotating Saturdays, and possibly more as other caregivers need time off. She needs help with companionship, daily living, healthy meals, reminders/assistance with hygiene, and prompting to take her medication. She loves dancing, shopping, and swimming. We’d like to see her more physically active. She is fiercely holding on to her independence and has refused help in the past, but mostly enjoys the companionship when people are there. She can be argumentative and is aware that she is having cognitive issues, but has a great sense of humor, loves her cats, and is kind and generous. Her adult son lives three houses down from her.
