About who needs care: My dad was recently diagnosed with Stage IV cancer. We would like in-home support on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. until 1:45/2 p.m. He gets around great with his walker, however, we'd like someone to be present to assist with meals (if he's hungry) and so he's not alone in case of an emergency. He naps often and spends most of his day between the recliner, couch, and occasionally the back deck. Westerns or football are always on TV and aside from that, his hobbies include playing games on his phone. About the care needs: Dad (John) is pretty quiet in general so he likely won't talk much. He does not have any tubes/catheters, however, he does have a portable urinal that would just need to be dumped, sanitized, and returned to his little table. His appetite has been suppressed so the most complex thing he'd ask for is a grilled cheese. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
