About who needs care: Recovering from cardiac arrest, pace maker surgery, experiencing memory loss, paranoia and confusion. Using a walker to get around with assistance. He is a widow and has anxiety, very worried about every little thing. Has one adult daughter caring for him but sometimes needs a change of pace and perspective a new person would bring to assure him of his progress. He loved fishing and was a maintenance man and automechanic before retirement. Speaks Spanish and English, grew up in NYC. Has become a very picky eater and has lost a lot of weight since the cardiac arrest (25+ lbs). About the care needs: Good sense of humor, patient, good listener. Be able to take his vitals and answer basic questions about those. Spanish speaking would be nice, open to talk with him about his grandchildren or fishing.
