About who needs care: Diagnosis of terminal leukemia Primary mode of transportation is by wheelchair Able to transition from wheel chair to couch or toilet independently with stabilization/safety support Independent in toileting with assistance having items handed to her for use Hobbies/interests: reading, enjoys watching college football and basketball, enjoys looking at landscaping around their home Day structure:wakes between 8-9 a.m. Needs assistance getting to the toilet, with dressing and can brush own teeth/wash face. Eats breakfast and then moves to the couch to read paper/book and may have light nap. Lunch 11:30-noonish and then lays down for afternoon nap 1-3ish. Kitchen or living room to have something to drink, look outside and then back to livingroom couch. Usually walks around central wall partition between kitchen/livingroom using a walker with gait belt for safety. 5:30-6ish eats supper and then to couch to enjoy evening watching TV sports or talking with spouse. Bed time usually 8:30-9:30. Currently sleeping through the night. About the care needs: Personality: cheerful, kind, honest and trustworthy Skills: assisting with safety stabilization while transitions are completed. Would like some simple meal prep for evening meal. Interests: would be nice to have someone that also enjoys college sports and interest in nature. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
