About who needs care: My parents live in their own home. The caregiver we are looking for is primarily for my mom who is 93 and living with dementia. My dad, 87, is currently her full-time caretaker. My mom is agreeable, tranquil and doesn't speak. She enjoys looking at home decorating magazines and watching television. She can walk with a walker but needs help getting up from bed, with all personal care, needs supervision eating and help getting into bed in the evenings. We would also like the caregiver to help my dad with things like light vacuuming, cleaning up the kitchen after dinner, etc. Ideally, we would like a caregiver to come in the morning (approx. 9am-noon) to get my mom out of bed and ready for the day and then again in the evening to get my mom ready for bed and tucked in (approx. 6-9pm). About the care needs: Looking for a positive and patient individual, trained in memory care who will proactively look for ways to help both my parents. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
