About who needs care: Heart Failure Kidney Failure Arthritis Fall Risk Difficulty Walking Hard Time Seeing and Hearing Oxygen Use Needs Assistance in Bathroom Loves watching westerns on TV Likes talking to people Likes her coffee (light creamer) Favorite snacks are string cheese, cheez-its, and bit-o-honey Her normal routine is waking up early and going to the restroom. When using the restroom, she may need guidance on getting into the bathroom and sitting down. She is unable to wipe herself from behind but can manage from the front. Afterwards, she likes to sit in the kitchen for a while and have a cup or 2 of coffee while she watches out her window. When she gets tired of being in the kitchen, she will go back into the living room where she will either sit in her recliner or sit in the chair by the front of the house. Having her going to the chair by the front of the house requires more caution and guidance. Whenever she is moving around, she needs someone to be there with her. She is very afraid of falling, and just being there with her and ensuring she is doing a good job will keep her spirits up. The risk of her falling is high, so make sure that you are being mindful of what is around her so that she does not trip. Other than that, she sleeps a lot during the day and is not too demanding.
