About who needs care: Mother is 81 and is on dialysis. Recently hospitalized for fluid around the heart (pericarditis) and is physically weak. Needs assistance physically and medical monitoring while recovering. Additional needs are bath, meal preparation, personal care, and transportation to dialysis. Husband lives with her and can assist but is physically limited as well. She is a former high school English teacher and devout Christian woman of faith. About the care needs: Preferably a female who is able to assist with medical monitoring (Blood pressure, diabetes, pulse). Ideally nurse to recognize signs of complications. Willing to clean and prepare meals to help restore living area to safety. Friendly and engage in conversation. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
