About who needs care: My grandmother is 85 yrs old. She has the beginning of dementia we believe we are waiting on a dr appointment. She has problems with her knees and has to use a walker. She has a pace maker but everything is going good with that. Me and my family was the last ones living near here but we are relocating to Alabama. She doesn't want to leave her home which is understandable. She needs help with the cleaning and washing . She cant drive so grocery shopping, doctors appointments etc. she hears and sees things that are not there, but her conversation is like my grandmother . She just deals with those things . She loves to read , play on her computer, do puzzles , she loves to talk . She is my angel . She can most the time get in her shower by herself but at times its difficult so You'll have to ask if she needs help because she wont ask. Also you have to basically cook her something to eat and say here you go , you need to eat . But she isn't A big fan of red meat . She like bbq pulled pork, shrimp , salads chicken or shrimp , loves her sweets and she likes to have her coffee in the morning . She just cant be there by herself while no one lives near her anymore . About the care needs: A patient, loving , gossip woman . That would be interested in things my grandmother likes to do . And every once in a while take my grandmother to my grandfathers grave so she can visit . Its just right in town . Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
