About the job
About who needs care: Recovering from brain injury which occurred 3 years ago. Has recovered with the exception of some memory loss and cannot walk. He wears adult diapers but can use the toilet with assistance. Lived in a private care facility until one year ago. I bathe (shower) and dress him. His daily routine includes morning and afternoon meals (he can feed himself), sitting outside on our porch watching boats and jet skis go by, watching sports on tv. He wears hearing aids but still struggles with hearing. We have earphones connected to the tv. We have a 10-year-old female golden retriever. About the care needs: Someone free spirited who has the ability to deal with a patient with brain injury. Someone who has the ability to help him transfer from recliner to wheelchair and back again. Someone with a sense of humor and upbeat spirit. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
