I'm looking for hands-on care for my grandmother in her 80s. She has progressive ALS. She is currently breathing independently but with difficulty and has been prescribed a BiPap to wear during the night. Medication management is not required but assistance with is needed. Some light tidying up is involved for meal prep. She prefers her items be left as they are including papers. Some help needed with bathing. We're looking for some help preparing meals. She does not eat much but loves fruit, soup, and easy to digest and swallow as her ALS makes it difficult to do so. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker, CPR / first-aid trained, and a respiratory therapy or training.
