About who needs care: My mom has Multiple System Atrophy - basically, every muscle system in her body is atrophying at an unpredictable rate. Its similar to Parkinson's, sort of. She spends most of her time in bed, but occasionally likes to spend time in the back yard or go shopping. She mainly needs help with transitions to and from her chair, meals, and general supervision. She can currently still toilet and bathe on her own, but this will likely change with time. About the care needs: Obviously, you're gonna need a lot of patience. We need someone with experience and training with lifting and handling mobility patients. Experience with dementia or other neuro disorders is also good, but the mobility this is a must. Services needed include: transportation, meal prep errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, dressing, and mobility assistance.
