Our 25-year-old daughter with special needs is looking for a full-time/part-time caregiver. L is easy-going, likes watching TV/movies, and time outside. She is non-verbal and communicates mainly with eye gaze and use of a eye-gaze computer. She has her own, wheelchair accessible van to go into the community daily to volunteer, ride horseback therapy, attend music class, and ride her adapted bike in the park. Responsibilities include helping L participate in community activities, therapies, recreation, and personal care such as dressing, bathing, meals, etc. All applicants must have reliable transportation, excellent references, and be comfortable with dogs. It takes time to develop understanding and trusted relationship with L so looking for longer term staff only.
