Who needs care: She is ambulatory; has Alzheimer's disease. She likes music and movement-related activities more than craft activities; she'll do simple puzzles. She likes to be in the kitchen, but is not safe to be there unsupervised. She likes to read, and is NOT one to sit in front of the TV all day. If not occupied, she'll sleep a lot of the day. She's often up at night. She's resistant to showering, and even sponge baths. She's HOH--can you persuade her to wear her pocket talker? Care needs: Someone who is pleasant but firm would be most effective. When my mom talks, it's mostly word salad, so you have to have a lot of patience. We really need someone who can get my mom to shower or sponge bathe. Female only. Services needed include: companionship, light meal prep, bathing/dressing, facilitate her exercises.
