In early January, my sister and I moved our 76 y. o. dad 'home' with us. He is quiet and easy going by nature, although the progression of disease has caused episodes of agitation and hallucinations. Currently, he weighs roughly 128 lbs and is a heavy assist of 1-2 in sitting to standing. He has a typical slow, hesitant, gait w/ an assist of 1 + walker. He is a total assist with all ADL's including toileting. He eats, drinks, and takes his medications by mouth. He strongly prefers to feed himself, although certain foods and his tremors require our help. As our dad's health declines, his and our needs will change. Right now, my sister and I would greatly appreciate additional help with cares in the mornings. We are all here to support each other.
