About the job
I am a 47yo woman with ALS. I have paralysis of both arms & hands, but I can walk short distances with help. I also have speech difficulties. You must be comfortable with intimate duties such as full showers & using the toilet. You would also give me my daily medications, help with limb stretches to alleviate muscle tension, do light housekeeping, meal prep, & dress me. I have a lot of equipment to help in my daily activities, such as a gait belt, EZ St&, Hoyer lift, feeding device, & communication equipment.
