Need hands-on care for my father in Bloomington, MN. Experience with managing and administering medication is required. Ability to support and assist with cognition/memory & confusion issues from stroke, accelerating dementia. Ensure safety in movement (fall risk) and help getting places. A key responsibility is bathroom & bathing assistance (ensure hygiene and cleanliness). Needs include transportation (doctor's appointments, etc.). Dad is conversational but need someone patient as he forgets and likes things explained as he works to rebuild his memory. Great to do cognitive games / activities. Mom (82) is at home all the time as well. She is healthy but unable to support dad since stroke. Caregiver: Non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained. Bonus: help mom as needed in downtime ie declutter. Need to hire day, night and weekend shifts.
