About the job
About who needs care: Mary has had Alzheimer's for about 7 years. Her memory is poor, and she is anxious at times, but she is generally pleasant to be around. Her husband is having some health trouble of his own, and Mary needs a full-time caregiver. We are fortunate to get help from other caregivers on a part-time basis, but we need to increase the level of care going forward. Making sure medications are taken, meals are prepped, and doctors appointments are kept will be important. About the care needs: We are looking for someone who has experience or a desire to help in the next few months or years. Attention to detail and patience during the challenges of Alzheimer's is key. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
