About who needs care: She is fully mobile but has dementia. She is living in a senior facility but does not need specialized care. She tends to get bored in the evenings when there are not activities at the facility and most of the other residents turn in for the night. We are looking for a companion that would visit her each day and keep her occupied for a couple hours. Play a game. Have her play a tune on her organ. Maybe organize a game of dominoes or another game with a few of the other residents. Take a walk on the walking paths outside of the facility in the summer. When she is actively doing something the dementia doesn't kick in as much. About the care needs: The caregiver doesn't need any specialized skills, but they need to be outgoing as mom is shy. Someone that enjoys playing games (cornhole, cards & marbles, dominoes, etc.) would be good. Services needed include: companionship.
