Help needed for my wife in her 80s - seeking part-time companion care. Must be trained in transfer assistance, including on and off the toilet. The ideal match will meet the requirements below. Please be willing to do light housekeeping. (occasional laundry mostly, maybe change sheets on a bed) We're looking for someone to provide companionship and assure no falls occur. You'll be responsible for transporting to/from appointments. (really just 1 appointment on Wednesdays@3:00 p.m. ) Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker. My spouse has moderate cognitive impairment and also a neurological disease that means she can no longer walk without assistance and the cognitive impairment means she does not really remember that she needs help. Our homecare CNA of the last 3 years is graduating and leaving town so we need a new helper!
