About the job
About who needs care: Hi, this is new, to me. I just turned 70. My car was just totaled because brakes and steering failed on steep grade. It is hard for me to afford a different car because of the expense, my only income is Social Security. I am healthy except for long term covid which leaves me fatigued, and sometimes hard to breathe. I also have some arthritis. Essentially, I just need transportation and some help getting errands done. I Love to read; I write some poetry; I have a kitty who Loves to be combed 7 times per day.; I am the baker for my family and friends and once in a while I ship baked goods; I like to visit with my friends. I have few here since I only moved back here 5 years ago after being in Atlanta and southwest Indiana for 33 and 7 years respectively. I don't need help daily or even 3 days per week. Probably 3-5 times per month from what I can tell now. The days I checked work best for me however from time to time there will be isolated instances on a different day. The time of the day doesn't matter to me. I can leave that up to the carer. I tend not to go out in bad weather. I might want to have a picnic on a nice day with my carer or go to WI. I would like to be able to pay more however, as I said, all I have is my own social security. I have never been married. Once in a while I get a gift or a refund of money and then I would like to give my carer(s) a little monetary gift. I am not planning on any unknown family or friends who are, unknown to me, wealthy, dying and living big sums of money. I'm overall easy to get along with- not cranky and not a curmudgeon. About the care needs: A nice and kind person. Attentive to me but not overly so. A person who has good common sense. A Democrat who believes we're on the earth to help each other out and be in community. A pretty good conversationalist. Services needed include: transportation.
