About who needs care: PJ is a kind sweet young man. He has autism and a rare seizure disorder. Thankfully we have worked hard to have his seizures very under control. He does wear a diaper in case he has a seizure or is having a rough day. He is mobile and walks like a sweet old man. He loves to play with his "spinner" which is a freezbee, loves to watch cartoons with friends and take naps throughout the day. He enjoys going out for walks and when he gets tired will plop into his wheelchair. He loves to eat his momma's meals and makes the best nom-nom sounds. He loves to listen to music and humm along. Whatever you like he likes (except heavy Metal) He does take meds several times a day but we will always be around to give those to him and assist with bathroom trips and any emergency meds. About the care needs: Someone that has worked with children or anyone with developmental delays. He is mentally like a toddler so being patient and keeping sentences simple is best. Being patient, kind and understanding of his needs. Being comfortable walking with him, he can walk on his own but does need guidance in a new place, navigating spaces and going to bathroom. He is a sweet young man that is soothed by holding hands. Must be okay with this. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
