About who needs care: I am looking for care for my 71-year-old mom. She is a retired nurse and she has bipolar 1 and also is being evaluated by a neurologist for Parkinsonism, frontal lobe dementia. She is able to walk but shuffles and is unsteady. She needs help with dressing, washing, frequent redirecting. She can feed herself but has a hand tremor and her dexterity is not the best. She needs help to the bathroom and wears depends and has incontinence at times. She has anxiety and does not like to be alone. Her long term memory is pretty sharp but her short term at times is not good. She gets confused and needs help with basic tasks. I also am looking for someone to engage her in conversation. Help her to feel safe and provide her assistance. About the care needs: A loving, calm person who can be patient and understands she needs assistance but also encourage her to do what she can independently. The person needs to be physically able to help position my move and assisted her up and dress and to the bathroom. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
